This opportunity is for a Tennessee Licensed Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) for an out-of-state mail-order pharmacy operation specializing in Healthcare at Home / Home Medical Equipment. The role combines remote licensing, compliance, and regulatory support with quarterly on-site inspections near Nashville, TN. This contract position offers guaranteed full-time compensation with a flexible, low-time-commitment schedule, ideal for pharmacists seeking consulting or PIC roles.

Location: Remote within Tennessee, with quarterly visits to a Nashville-area site
Schedule: 40 hours per week guaranteed; actual workload expected to be significantly less
Contract Duration: 13+ weeks
Start Date: ASAP, targeting by the end of October

Responsibilities

Serve as the designated Tennessee Pharmacist In Charge for the organization’s out-of-state mail-order pharmacy license.

Complete initial PIC and Board of Pharmacy documentation for licensing and renewal purposes.

Conduct quarterly on-site compliance inspections and audits at the Nashville-area location.

Review portable oxygen patient accounts to ensure annual prescription renewals.

Perform physical site inspections to verify proper storage of oxygen tanks and compliance adherence.

Confirm hours of operation and licensing are current and properly displayed.

Complete inspection checklists and communicate any follow-up requirements.

Support additional regulatory and compliance tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing.

Current resident of Tennessee.

Minimum 3 years of pharmacist experience preferred; candidates with less experience will be considered.

Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.

Comfortable in PIC/licensing responsibilities and regulatory documentation.

Ability and willingness to travel locally for quarterly site visits.

This contract position offers $60/hour compensation with 40 hours per week guaranteed, though the role typically demands fewer hours.
