We’re hiring an experienced Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist for a 13-week hospital contract beginning June. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with recent inpatient experience who enjoys a hands-on role supporting medication safety, order verification, inventory oversight, and collaboration with healthcare teams. Responsibilities

  • Review inpatient medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safe use
  • Verify final products and support medication distribution systems
  • Provide drug information and clinical guidance to physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
  • Oversee procurement, storage, security, and administration of medications
  • Maintain pharmacy and Omnicell inventory levels
  • Monitor controlled substance accountability and hazardous waste disposal compliance
  • Maintain crash carts, emergency kits, and specialty medication boxes
  • Resolve medication discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintain records for purchasing, dispensing, billing, and destruction of medications
  • Support policy and procedure updates to meet regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Provide weekend retail pharmacy emergency coverage during scheduled shifts
  • Serve as on-call pharmacist after hours on assigned days

  • Experience

  • Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
  • Must have inpatient experience within the last 3 years
  • Experience with medication order review and clinical verification preferred
  • Knowledge of automated dispensing systems such as Omnicell preferred
  • Strong understanding of hospital pharmacy operations and compliance standards
  • Education

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program
  • Active pharmacist license required
  • California pharmacist license preferred/required for assignment eligibility
  • Other Qualifications

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Professional demeanor with patients, staff, and leadership
  • Compensation expected to be $55.00 - $65.00/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and interview outcome.
