Verification Pharmacist Houston, TX
RPh on the Go is seeking a detail-oriented Verification Pharmacist to join a high-volume pharmacy in Houston, Texas. This role focuses on the final verification of compounded medications, ensuring clinical accuracy, patient safety, and regulatory compliance before dispensing.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, Various shifts available
Weekends as needed
13-week contract with potential for permanent hire

Responsibilities
Perform final pharmacist verification of compounded prescriptions before dispensing.
Review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, accurate dosing, patient information, drug interactions, formulation integrity, and proper labeling.
Ensure compliance with applicable federal and Texas pharmacy regulations.
Collaborate with sterile and non-sterile compounding technicians to maintain workflow and quality standards.
Identify and resolve prescription discrepancies, formulation questions, and documentation issues.
Provide clinical guidance and support to pharmacy technicians regarding prescription processing, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
Requirements
Active, clear Texas pharmacist license in good standing.
At least 1 year of pharmacy experience.
Closed-door pharmacy or compounding experience preferred.
Comfortable working in a high-volume pharmacy environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety.
