An opportunity is available for two skilled pharmacy technicians to support high-volume retail and mail order pharmacy operations in Phoenix, AZ. This contract role, with an anticipated duration of 13 weeks and the potential to transition to permanent, requires candidates to start immediately and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Responsibilities:

  • Perform typical retail pharmacy technician duties with emphasis on high-volume data entry and dispensing
  • Handle walk-in retail prescriptions alongside predominantly mail order delivery workflows
  • Maintain accuracy, speed, and attention to detail in processing prescriptions
  • Proactively identify workflow needs and assist with pharmacy tasks as necessary
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and maintain clear and effective communication with patients and healthcare providers
  • Collaborate closely within the pharmacy team to ensure efficient operations
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting is required; candidates without recent experience will not be considered
  • Experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications is strongly preferred and must be clearly indicated on the resume, even if limited
  • Licensed as an Arizona Pharmacy Technician with active PTCB certification
  • Proficiency or familiarity with QS1 pharmacy software is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a positive work attitude
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, including provider interaction
  • Strong pharmacy intuition to anticipate and address task demands proactively
