This opportunity seeks a driven pharmacy leader to serve as Director of Pharmacy at a behavioral health facility in Indianapolis, IN. The role is contract-based from March 30, 2026, through June 30, 2026, or until a permanent placement is made. Candidates should be prepared to provide leadership and potentially act as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) during this period.

Key responsibilities include verifying medication orders, dispensing medications including controlled substances, managing automated dispensing cabinet systems (Pyxis), and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as Joint Commission, CMS, and state pharmacy board requirements. The Director will oversee staffing and play a pivotal role in maintaining pharmacy operations in an inpatient behavioral health setting. Coverage hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with on-call duties and potential weekend on-call coverage.

Candidates must hold active Indiana pharmacist licensure in good standing and possess inpatient pharmacy and leadership experience. Familiarity with the HCS order entry system and Pyxis automation is a plus; training is provided if needed. This position requires managing pharmacy functions without technician support, underscoring the need for strong operational leadership.
