An overnight Pharmacy Technician opportunity is available on a 13-week contract at a leading pediatric hospital in Austin. This role focuses on IV and inpatient pharmacy services during the 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM shift, working a 7 days on/7 days off schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and compound sterile IV medications accurately and safely in compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Support pediatric inpatient pharmacy operations, ensuring timely and precise medication dispensing.
  • Utilize EPIC pharmacy system for documentation and medication management.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile compounding standards and hospital guidelines.
  • Qualifications:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPHT) license from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • IV certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital pharmacy technician experience.
  • Pediatric pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) CPHT certification is preferred.
  • Completion of 40 hours of accredited training in sterile compounding recommended.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
