Pharmacy Manager Opportunity – Rehab Hospital Setting

A unique opening is available for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy operations within a 36-bed rehabilitation hospital. This role combines hands-on pharmacy practice with management responsibilities to ensure efficient pharmaceutical services that meet the needs of patients and staff. The facility maintains an average daily census of approximately 35 patients, offering a close-knit and focused environment.

Pharmacy Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC), assuming full responsibility for compliance and operational standards.
  • Provide pharmacy staffing coverage as a working pharmacist for 40 hours per week.
  • Supervise and provide oversight for pharmacy technicians during shifts.
  • Manage pharmacy operations using Wellsky pharmacy information system and Pyxis automation technology.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to support inpatient medication management, including IV compounding (excluding chemotherapy).
  • Participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call rotation as required to ensure continuous pharmacy coverage.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active and clear Delaware pharmacist license is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated inpatient hospital pharmacy experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in IV compounding without chemotherapy is required.
  • Leadership experience managing pharmacy technicians in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy automation systems such as Pyxis preferred.
