A leadership opportunity is available for a pharmacist experienced in sterile compounding to serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a closed-door 503A/B facility based in Nellis AFB, Nevada. This direct hire role focuses on ensuring full compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations while overseeing all aspects of sterile compounding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as PIC ensuring adherence to USP <797>, USP <800>, FDA, and relevant state board of pharmacy regulations
  • Manage sterile compounding workflow, personnel, and quality assurance programs
  • Maintain and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding
  • Hire, supervise, and train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Oversee environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation processes
  • Lead pharmacy inspections, audits, and regulatory interactions
  • Collaborate with leadership on operational strategy, expansion, and licensing initiatives
  • Maintain readiness for inspections through accurate recordkeeping
  • Qualifications:

  • PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
  • Active pharmacist license in Nevada and California (or California license application in process)
  • Additional state licenses preferred or willingness to obtain required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sterile compounding preferred
  • Prior experience as PIC or pharmacy manager strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of USP <797>, USP <800>, and sterile compounding regulations
  • Familiarity with multi-state pharmacy operations and non-resident licensure
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience with 503A or 503B compounding environments is a plus
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
