This role offers the opportunity to serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a well-established pharmacy operation, with a 13-week contract to hire position located in Media, PA. The position requires strong leadership skills, regulatory expertise, and hands-on experience managing both sterile and non-sterile compounding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the legally designated PIC for all non-resident state pharmacy licenses unless delegated otherwise
  • Serve as the main liaison with Boards of Pharmacy, inspectors, auditors, and regulatory agencies
  • Ensure timely reporting of operational changes, ownership transfers, facility updates, and PIC transitions
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance with quality standards
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts
  • Supervise pharmacists, compounding supervisors, technicians, and production staff
  • Manage daily batch record creation, review, approval, and production scheduling
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, capacity planning, and on-time product delivery
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or Pharmacy Manager
  • In-depth knowledge of USP standards and relevant federal and state regulations governing 503A compounding operations
  • Proven experience leading audits and managing regulatory inspections with successful outcomes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage multidisciplinary teams and regulatory bodies
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays if needed
