An immediate opening is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to manage pharmacy operations in a micro-hospital setting. This contract role offers a unique leadership opportunity to oversee all pharmacy functions as the sole pharmacist on-site in a specialized environment.

Location: Menomonee, WI
Schedule:

  • Day shift, Monday through Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Manage inpatient pharmacy services including audits, medication restocking, and order verification
  • Support pharmacy operations within a 7-bed emergency department and 8-bed inpatient micro-hospital
  • Utilize the Epic order entry system and Omnicell pharmacy automation for daily tasks
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support pharmacy needs during off-hours
  • Collaborate remotely with the local PIC and Pharmacy Director for training and guidance
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin pharmacist licensure
  • Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulatory compliance and controlled substance protocols
  • Ability to work independently as the only pharmacist on site
  • Familiarity with Epic and Omnicell systems preferred
  • This role involves both staff pharmacist and PIC responsibilities, with no sterile compounding involved. The contract is expected to begin as soon as possible and continue for approximately 2 to 3 months.
