A leading long-term care (LTC) pharmacy in Foxborough, Massachusetts, seeks an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to provide strong, effective leadership and oversee daily operations. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a candidate with recent LTC management experience who is committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance in a closed-door LTC setting.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for pharmacy operations, managing prescription dispensing and medication counseling, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. The PIC will develop and implement policies and procedures to promote safety and efficiency, oversee staff performance, and collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve medication-related concerns. Leading the inventory management process and maintaining a clean, safe pharmacy environment are essential duties. Additionally, participation in quality improvement initiatives and conducting regular audits are crucial for continuous operational enhancements.
This role involves primarily day shifts Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend coverage as needed.
