An established compounding pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory compliance and quality assurance at their Ohio facility. This onsite leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee operations in a dynamic environment with a nationally recognized company. Candidates should possess strong knowledge of FDA, DEA, and State Board regulations alongside experience managing compliance in sterile and non-sterile compounding settings. Relocation assistance is available, and a temp-to-perm option may be considered for candidates interested in a travel assignment prior to direct hire.

Location:

  • Albany, Ohio (onsite)
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as PIC responsible for Ohio and additional non-resident state licenses as needed
  • Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Lead and manage regulatory inspections including Board of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA audits
  • Develop, review, and maintain SOPs and training programs aligned with regulatory guidelines
  • Oversee quality assurance/control for batch review, deviations, investigations, and environmental monitoring
  • Manage validation activities, change controls, product labeling, and annual product reviews
  • Direct regulatory reporting, recalls, complaints, and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Present quality metrics to leadership and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing required; multi-state licensure preferred
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience managing pharmacy or compounding teams
  • Extensive knowledge of cGMP, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven track record leading successful regulatory inspections and audits
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Preferred: 10+ years in pharma/biotech/medical device; 7+ years in quality/compliance roles
