This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations within a specialized mail order infusion environment. The role involves managing pharmacy workflow, preparing IV admixtures, and ensuring compliance with sterile compounding standards. The selected candidate will work part-time, with a schedule designed to support efficient pharmacy management and patient care.

Location:

  • Lees Summit, MO (primary assignment)
  • Flexibility to support additional needs in Texas, Nebraska, and Oklahoma as priorities shift
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 15 to 30 hours per week
  • Duration: 8-week contract with potential extension
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) within a mail order infusion pharmacy setting
  • Supervise pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare sterile IV admixtures with attention to safety and quality
  • Utilize CareTend for order entry and management
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to maintain high standards of patient care
  • Provide oversight for pharmacy staff and workflow efficiency
  • Qualifications:

  • Active pharmacy license in Missouri and Texas required immediately; licenses in Nebraska and Oklahoma highly desirable for future assignments
  • Proven pharmacy management experience, including Pharmacist in Charge responsibilities
  • Experience with infusion therapy and sterile compounding strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of mail order infusion pharmacy practices and standards
  • Ability to work autonomously and maintain regulatory compliance
