Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Night Pharmacist for a 230-bed acute care community hospital in Yakima, Washington. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a travel assignment with a consistent 7-on/7-off schedule and the potential for a temp-to-hire opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support daily pharmacy operations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Provide pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing recommendations.
Ensure safe medication practices and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to support medication management and dispensing.
Qualifications
Active Washington State Pharmacist License required.
Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Comfortable working overnight shifts in an acute care hospital setting.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while supporting a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
