Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician Farmington, MI

We are seeking a Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support a high-volume home infusion pharmacy setting. This role is ideal for a technician with strong sterile compounding experience who is comfortable working in a cleanroom environment and following strict compliance standards.

Requirements:
2+ years of recent sterile compounding experience
Active, clear Michigan Pharmacy Technician license
Clear background check required
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment
Experience in USP <797> and USP <800> compliance preferred

Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform sterile compounding of IV medications in compliance with USP <797> and USP <800> guidelines
Prepare patient-specific sterile products, including IV admixtures, antibiotics, hydration solutions, and TPNs
Work in ISO-classified cleanroom environments using aseptic technique and proper garbing procedures
Accurately measure, mix, and compound medications under pharmacist supervision
Label compounded sterile preparations (CSPs) and ensure accuracy of all patient-specific orders
Operate within laminar airflow hoods (LAFW) and/or isolators to maintain sterility
Maintain proper documentation of all compounding activities, lot numbers, and expiration dates
Assist with inventory management, including sterile supplies, IV components, and hazardous drug materials
Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of cleanroom and compounding equipment
Support medication batching and preparation for daily home infusion deliveries
Ensure timely preparation of medications to meet strict delivery and administration schedules
Follow all safety, compliance, and quality assurance procedures in accordance with pharmacy regulations
Communicate effectively with pharmacists, nurses, and internal pharmacy staff regarding order status and preparation needs
Assist with cold-chain handling and proper storage of temperature-sensitive medications
