Employment Type: Travel Contract or Local Contract

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 13 weeks or longer

Schedule: Variable shifts

Setting: Inpatient Hospital Pharmacy

System: EPIC

Responsibilities

Verify and process inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently using EPIC.
Supervise and support pharmacy technician staff throughout all shifts
Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing adjustments for targeted medications, including vancomycin and aminoglycosides
Consult with physicians and nurses on medication therapy and patient care needs
Provide drug information and clinical recommendations to the interdisciplinary care team
Ensure safe medication dispensing and full regulatory compliance throughout all operations
Collaborate with the pharmacy team and clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes

Experience

Hospital pharmacy experience required — residency-trained candidates also strongly considered
EPIC experience preferred
Comfortable with pharmacokinetic dosing and clinical consultation responsibilities
Comfortable with variable shift scheduling

Skills

Strong clinical judgment in an inpatient hospital environment
Comfortable with pharmacokinetic monitoring and evidence-based dosing adjustments
Effective communicator with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy team members
Reliable and adaptable across variable shift schedules. Self-sufficient and comfortable in a fast-paced hospital pharmacy setting

Qualifications

Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required
Hospital experience or completion of an ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency preferred

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy, PharmD, or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
