Staff Pharmacist - Peosta, Iowa
A full-time retail pharmacist opportunity is available on a 13-week contract starting July 13, with flexible shifting across multiple pharmacy locations in Iowa. This role offers the chance to practice clinical expertise while floating between several sites, including Dubuque, Preston, Bellevue, Independence, and Monticello.
Responsibilities include dispensing medications safely and efficiently under manager supervision, counseling patients on their medication regimens, and providing responsive customer service regarding inquiries and concerns. Maintaining accurate stock and controlled substance inventories and assisting in resolving patient and insurance-related issues are also critical duties.
The busiest location, Dubuque, processes approximately 2,800 to 3,000 prescriptions daily, requiring strong organizational and multitasking skills. Other sites handle about 600 prescriptions daily in a more rural setting. Flexibility and readiness to travel between locations are essential.
