Staff Pharmacist in Winchester, KY

A busy retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky seeks a full-time Staff Pharmacist to maintain excellent pharmaceutical care in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with a well-established team supported by experienced technicians, utilizing PioneerRx pharmacy software to manage workflow efficiently.

Responsibilities include verifying prescription accuracy, counseling patients on medication use, overseeing pharmacy operations, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. You will collaborate with a team of pharmacists and technicians to deliver exceptional customer service and consistent pharmacy support. Saturday coverage is required approximately once or twice per month.

Key Duties: • Verify and accurately fill prescriptions
• Provide patient counseling and medication-related information
• Supervise and coordinate pharmacy workflow with technicians
• Utilize PioneerRx software for prescription processing
• Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards
• Assist in daily retail pharmacy operations
• Participate in scheduled Saturday shifts

Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx preferred
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively
• Flexibility to cover 1–2 Saturdays per month

Schedule: • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four days/week)
• Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (1–2 times per month)
