Staff Pharmacist in Retail Pharmacy | Oneonta, New York
A full-time Staff Pharmacist position is available in a busy outpatient retail pharmacy primarily located in Cooperstown, New York, with occasional coverage required at nearby Oneonta and Delhi locations. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week.
This outpatient pharmacy fills approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly and operates with a two-pharmacist team daily. The environment excludes sterile compounding and chemotherapy services but includes a Meds to Beds program for hospital patients as well as immunization services. The pharmacy management system used is PioneerRx, and patient information is managed through EPIC EMR.
Key responsibilities include accurate prescription verification, medication dispensing, providing immunizations, supporting the Meds to Beds program, and delivering exceptional customer service, which is a critical priority for this role.
