Staff Pharmacist in Greenwood, IN
A Staff Pharmacist opportunity is available on the 2nd shift (12:30pm – 9pm) in a closed door mail order pharmacy environment. This 13+ week contract role offers the potential for temp-to-direct hire and requires a pharmacist who can provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care while supervising pharmacy technicians during the shift. The schedule is Monday through Friday with possible Saturdays based on operational needs.
Responsibilities include accurately dispensing medications per prescription orders, providing patient medication counseling, reviewing physician orders for therapy appropriateness, and monitoring drug regimens for safety and effectiveness. You will collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize outcomes and maintain thorough patient records. Compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations is essential. Additional duties involve inventory management, quality assurance participation, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key qualifications include a PharmD degree and an Indiana pharmacy license. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience. A California license is preferred or candidates must be willing to reciprocate their Indiana license for a CA license, with assistance provided for related costs. The role requires up to 5% travel.
