Join a dynamic pharmacy warehouse environment as a Staff Pharmacist supporting critical medication management operations. This 13-week contract opportunity requires two experienced pharmacists ready to ensure seamless inventory control and medication distribution.

Location: Elgin, IL
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty drugs
  • Manage inventory levels, order medications and supplies, and minimize waste and expired stock
  • Ensure compliance with USP standards and all state/federal regulations regarding storage conditions
  • Verify medication orders prior to preparation or shipment
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians engaged in inventory, picking, packing, and shipping processes
  • Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain availability of medications and supplies for patient orders
  • Review controlled substance inventory and maintain accurate documentation
  • Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits
  • Collaborate closely with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to guarantee timely medication delivery
  • Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems effectively to track medications and supplies
  • Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Illinois pharmacist license must be clear and active
  • Some knowledge of IV medication administration and handling preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and supervisory skills
  • Experience in pharmacy inventory management and regulatory compliance
