A hybrid inpatient/outpatient position is available for a licensed pharmacist holding a current Delaware license. This role involves managing medication operations primarily through automated dispensing cabinets at two hospital locations and supporting daily cartfill activities. The pharmacist may also be assigned to retail pharmacy duties for dispensing as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain efficient medication dispensing via automated systems and daily cartfill processes.
  • Support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services.
  • Float to retail pharmacy sections to assist with dispensing responsibilities.
  • Utilize clinical judgment and knowledge to ensure accurate and safe medication distribution.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
  • Use IT platforms such as Cerner and Omnicell effectively.
  • Qualifications:

  • Pharm.D. degree or B.S. Pharmacy with equivalent relevant experience.
  • Active and valid Delaware pharmacist license.
  • Strong clinical knowledge applicable to both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with hospital pharmacy workflows and automated dispensing technologies.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • This opportunity is offered as a contract position with potential for transition to permanent employment. Immediate start date availability is preferred.
