Pharmacy Technician in San Antonio, TX

Seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract assignment in San Antonio, TX. This role offers two available shifts: 7 AM - 3:30 PM or 12 PM - 8 PM. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in sterile compounding and a solid understanding of pharmacy procedures and compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing and processing prescriptions accurately, assisting pharmacists in medication preparation and dispensing, and performing pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct dosages. You will also be responsible for properly labeling and packaging medications, as well as participating in medication incident management by identifying, documenting, and reporting issues.

Maintaining a clean and safe pharmacy environment is essential. This involves sanitizing work surfaces and laminar flow hoods, inspecting equipment for defects, and maintaining temperature logs and cleaning records. Additionally, you will contribute to overall pharmacy organization and ensure ongoing compliance with policies and regulations.
