A specialty pharmacy focused on AIDS/HIV care in the Fort Lauderdale area seeks two skilled pharmacy technicians to join their team. Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Oakland Park area)

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Must be flexible to work Saturdays
  • Responsibilities:

  • Perform typical retail pharmacy technician duties including data entry and dispensing medications
  • Manage patient prescriptions with care and confidentiality, especially related to HIV/AIDS medications
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
  • Proactively identify workflow needs and assist team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Utilize QS1 software for processing prescriptions (training provided for candidates with strong computer skills)
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-volume retail pharmacy setting
  • Experience with HIV/AIDS medications highly preferred and must be clearly highlighted on the resume
  • Licensed Florida Pharmacy Technician; PTCB certification is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Ability to provide patient-centered care with respect and empathy
