Lead the pharmacy operations at a busy retail location in Ogdensburg, NY, as a Pharmacy Manager. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to oversee a dynamic pharmacy team, maintain regulatory compliance, and support community health initiatives. The role involves both administrative leadership and patient-centered care, ensuring the pharmacy meets financial goals and delivers excellent service.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Closed Sundays
  • Responsibilities:

  • Register with the state board of pharmacy as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
  • Ensure pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Manage pharmacy financials, including budgeting, payroll, third-party administration, scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Drive business development within the store and the local community.
  • Supervise pharmacy support staff, oversee performance reviews, and provide training.
  • Ensure all pharmacy associates complete mandatory company training.
  • Participate in immunization programs, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness initiatives.
  • Counsel patients and collaborate with healthcare providers on drug therapies, dosing, side effects, and interactions.
  • Monitor patient health to optimize medication therapies and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and adhere to quality improvement and safety programs.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements as stipulated by state law.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State pharmacy license.
  • Immunization Certification with the ability to administer all vaccines.
  • Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality service.
