Pharmacist Sterile Compounding Florida

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist – Sterile Compounding to join a fast-paced infusion pharmacy environment. This position combines sterile compounding, clinical pharmacy services, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy leadership while supporting patients receiving infusion therapies.

Key Responsibilities
Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders.
Perform and oversee sterile compounding in accordance with USP <797> and USP <800>.
Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations.
Review medication profiles for allergies, interactions, dosing, compatibility, and overall medication safety.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff.
Maintain cleanroom standards, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring requirements.
Participate in quality assurance, medication safety, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.
Assist with inventory management, controlled substances, and daily pharmacy operations.
Support the development of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training.
Participate in staff meetings and professional conferences.

Qualifications
Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.
At least 1 year of recent hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding experience.
Experience working in compliance with USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
3–5 years of sterile compounding experience is preferred.
1+ year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to medication safety and regulatory compliance.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
