Join as a Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to lead the launch of a specialty hormone replacement therapy (HRT) pharmacy currently in build-out. This temp-to-hire role is critical in driving the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy licensure application, preparing for inspection, and establishing operations at a new mail-order pharmacy facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the named PIC for Pennsylvania pharmacy licensure application and lead process from submission through board inspection and approval.
  • Collaborate on facility build-out to ensure compliance with Board of Pharmacy requirements.
  • Develop and author all pharmacy SOPs, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations post-launch including dispensing, mail order fulfillment, and quality assurance.
  • Manage DEA registration and controlled substance compliance programs.
  • Ensure audit readiness and serve as primary contact for regulatory inspections.
  • Hire, train, and supervise pharmacy support staff as the pharmacy grows.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
  • Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing (no disciplinary actions).
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmacist experience; prior PIC experience preferred.
  • Proven track record with new pharmacy launches including licensure processes and board inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of DEA compliance and controlled substances management.
  • Experience in mail-order, specialty pharmacy, or hormone therapy preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset comfortable in pre-operational environments.
  • Willingness to obtain pharmacy licensure in additional states is strongly preferred due to multi-state expansion plans.
