This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage sterile compounding operations as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a closed-door pharmacy facility. The position requires deep expertise in compliance with USP, FDA, and multi-state pharmacy regulations, including California and other non-resident states.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards
  • Overseeing sterile compounding workflows, personnel management, and quality assurance programs
  • Maintaining and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sterile compounding
  • Hiring, supervising, and training pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
  • Managing pharmacy inspections, audits, and regulatory communications
  • Overseeing environmental monitoring, validation, and documentation processes
  • Ensuring proper handling, storage, and dispensing of compounded sterile preparations
  • Collaborating with leadership on operational strategies, expansion efforts, and licensing initiatives
  • Keeping accurate records and maintaining inspection readiness at all times
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • PharmD degree required
  • Active pharmacist license in Nevada required
  • Willingness to obtain California license strongly preferred
  • Additional state licenses or willingness to obtain them is required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sterile compounding preferred
  • Prior experience as a Pharmacist-in-Charge or pharmacy manager is strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of USP standards, sterile compounding regulations, and multi-state pharmacy operations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience in 503A or 503B compounding environments is advantageous
