An established compounding pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to lead regulatory, compliance, and quality operations at its Ohio facility. This role offers an excellent opportunity for long-term career growth and leadership exposure within a nationally recognized organization. The position is onsite, Monday through Friday, located in Albany, Ohio. Relocation support is available, and a temp-to-perm traveler option may be considered for qualified candidates open to transition.

Schedule:

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge for Ohio and other state licenses as needed
  • Ensure full compliance with FDA, DEA, State Boards of Pharmacy, and Section 503B regulations
  • Maintain licensing for pharmacists and facility across multiple states
  • Lead inspections and regulatory audits by Boards of Pharmacy, FDA, and DEA; represent the facility during these engagements
  • Develop, review, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training programs
  • Oversee regulatory reporting, product recalls, complaint investigations, and quality-related inquiries
  • Manage quality assurance and control functions, including batch record review, deviations, environmental monitoring, and validations
  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) with ongoing quality metric reporting to leadership
  • Oversee vendor qualifications, incoming materials, and reserve sample programs
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing; multi-state licensure experience preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA and DEA regulations, sterile injectable manufacturing, and non-sterile compounding
  • Proven success leading inspections and regulatory audits
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly present complex information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries
  • 7+ years in quality or compliance roles with progressive responsibility
