This opportunity is for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to support sterile compounding operations in a fast-paced infusion and specialty pharmacy setting. You will play a key role in preparing sterile compounded medications, ensuring quality and compliance, managing inventory, and assisting pharmacists with daily workflow activities.

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 13+ week contract to hire
  • Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile compounded medications under pharmacist supervision following USP and USP standards
  • Maintain aseptic technique and cleanroom procedures
  • Perform pharmacy calculations and accurately prepare compounded products
  • Assist with labeling, packaging, and shipment of infusion medications
  • Maintain compounding logs, batch records, and quality assurance documentation
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving medications and supplies
  • Support expiration date monitoring and product rotation
  • Maintain cleanroom equipment and help with environmental monitoring
  • Assist pharmacists with medication order processing and prescription fulfillment
  • Ensure compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA, OSHA, and company policies
  • Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license required
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sterile compounding, home infusion, hospital, or oncology pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of sterile compounding principles and aseptic technique
  • Ability to perform medication-related math calculations accurately
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient with pharmacy management systems and technology
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
