Interim Director of Pharmacy - Indiana

An immediate opportunity is available for a licensed Illinois Pharmacist to serve as both the Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a new behavioral health hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to help establish and lead pharmacy operations during a facility opening.
Position Details
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Length: Through July (end date subject to change)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
On-Call: Required after each weekday shift; possible weekend on-call coverage
Responsibilities
* Serve as the working Director of Pharmacy and PIC
* Assist with opening and establishing pharmacy operations
* Stock and manage Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets
* Verify and approve medication orders
* Organize and participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) meetings
* Develop and implement pharmacy workflows and procedures
* Ensure compliance with state and regulatory requirements
* No sterile compounding required
Qualifications
* Active Illinois Pharmacist license (required)
* Previous inpatient hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred
* Director of Pharmacy and/or PIC experience preferred
* Experience with HCS order entry system preferred
* Experience with Omnicell automation preferred
