This opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with IV certification to support outpatient oncology infusion services at a leading healthcare facility in Canton, GA. The role focuses exclusively on chemotherapy preparation and administration within a specialized oncology and hematology infusion center. This contract position requires a minimum of two years of oncology or infusion experience and a valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer chemotherapy treatments and other oncology medications in an infusion center setting
  • Access implanted ports and perform IV starts essential to patient care
  • Work closely with oncology healthcare providers to ensure safe, accurate medication delivery
  • Support outpatient hematology treatments excluding blood transfusions
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to regulatory and safety standards for chemotherapy handling and administration
  • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in oncology or infusion pharmacy, preferably outpatient oncology
  • IV certification and chemo certification required
  • Valid Georgia Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) license mandatory
  • Proficient in implanted port access and intravenous start procedures
  • Strong knowledge of oncology medication protocols and safety regulations
  • Location: Canton, GA (No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered)

    Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • This 13-week contract offers a focused role supporting cancer care patients through safe IV medication delivery in the outpatient oncology setting. Candidates must provide an updated resume, skills checklist, two pharmacy references, and copies of their GA license and certifications upon application.
