Employment Type: Travel Contract
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Work Hours: Days 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM — Every Other Weekend

Unit Coverage

This role will provide coverage for the CV ICU and Medical ICU at a Level 1 trauma center.

Responsibilities

Provide critical care clinical pharmacy services across the CV ICU and Medical ICU.
Verify and process medication orders accurately and efficiently using EPIC
Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dosing adjustments for critically ill patients
Consult with physicians and nurses on complex medication therapy and patient care needs
Ensure safe medication dispensing and regulatory compliance in a high acuity trauma setting
Respond to emergent clinical needs across critical care units as needed

Experience

Minimum 1 year of recent critical care or clinical pharmacy experience required
Prior Level 1 trauma center experience required
PGY-2 residency highly preferred but not required
Comfortable in a high acuity ICU environment
First-time travelers welcome to apply

Skills

Strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced critical care environment
Effective communicator with physicians, nurses, and the broader ICU care team
Comfortable managing complex and emergent medication therapy decisions
Reliable and confident working in a Level 1 trauma setting

Qualifications

Louisiana Pharmacist License required — must be in hand
Board Certification preferred but not required
EPIC experience required

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy required
