A direct hire opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist who will play a vital role across multiple clinical areas including the Emergency Department (ED), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and the antibiotic stewardship team. This unique position offers exposure to diverse patient populations and the chance to develop broad clinical skills without being confined to a single unit.

Located in the scenic area of State College, PA, home to a renowned university, this role allows pharmacists to engage deeply in patient care within a dynamic hospital setting. As a unit-based Clinical Pharmacist, you will participate in both ED and ICU services, managing medication therapies and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter and verify medication orders and conduct medication profile reviews to ensure appropriateness.
  • Deliver clinical services tailored to specific patient needs and provide expert drug information.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and teams according to your practice area.
  • Monitor drug therapies and perform pharmacist-managed consults following established protocols.
  • Support acute patient scenarios such as cardiac arrest, stroke, sepsis, and trauma in ED and critical care settings.
  • Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Completion of PGY1 residency or a minimum of 3 years of current clinical pharmacy experience.
  • Licensed pharmacist in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Additional Details:

  • Schedule consists mainly of 8-hour day shifts with some variable day and afternoon shifts.
  • Experience with Meditech IT system preferred.
  • Relocation assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.
