Clinical Pharmacist - State College, Pennsylvania
A hospital-based pharmacist opportunity is available at a community hospital with approximately 150 beds. This contract position begins ASAP and is expected to last 5 to 6 months or longer. The schedule includes variable days and afternoon shifts, offering some flexibility to accommodate personal preferences.
Key responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and consulting with physicians to ensure optimal medication management and patient care. The workplace utilizes Meditech, PharmacyKeeper, and Pyxis systems, so familiarity with these tools will be beneficial.
Ideal candidates will hold an active Pennsylvania pharmacist license and have at least one year of inpatient pharmacy experience. Full-time availability is required to adequately support the department’s needs. Experience with the Meditech system is highly desirable and should be confirmed during the application process.
