An infusion pharmacy in Lake Butler is looking for a Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to support daily pharmacy operations, clinical services, and sterile preparation of infusion medications. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while taking on both clinical and operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Review and verify medication orders and complete final product verification.
Perform and oversee hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding.
Follow USP <797> and USP <800> requirements and maintain cleanroom standards.
Evaluate medication profiles for dosing, allergies, interactions, and compatibility.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians.
Maintain required compounding, quality, and regulatory documentation.
Participate in medication safety, quality assurance, audits, and process improvement.
Assist with inventory, controlled substances, staff training, and daily pharmacy operations.
Requirements
Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing.
Minimum 1 year of sterile compounding experience, including hazardous and non-hazardous preparations.
Knowledge of USP <797>, USP <800>, DEA, OSHA, and Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
