Support pharmacy operations as a Staff Pharmacist in a dynamic warehouse environment for a 13-week contract, Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. This role primarily focuses on managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of medications while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position requires active Illinois licensure and familiarity with IV medications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the receipt, proper storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty items.
  • Manage inventory levels by ordering medications and supplies, reducing waste and avoiding expired products.
  • Ensure storage conditions meet USP standards and comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Verify medication orders prior to preparation and shipping.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians responsible for inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain availability of medications and supplies.
  • Review controlled substance inventory, maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with regulations.
  • Conduct cycle counts, perform inventory reconciliation, and participate in quality assurance audits.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to guarantee timely medication delivery.
  • Utilize pharmacy and inventory management software to track and manage medications effectively.
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current and clear Illinois Pharmacist license.
  • Knowledge of intravenous (IV) medication handling.
  • Strong organizational and supervisory skills.
  • Experience with pharmacy inventory systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
