This role offers an opportunity to work as a Staff Pharmacist in a retail pharmacy environment located in El Paso, TX. The position is a contract assignment with flexible durations, including options for 13 weeks or longer, and offers the chance to operate at both primary and secondary retail locations.

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Closed weekends and six major holidays at primary location
  • Occasional weekend coverage may be required at the secondary location
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare, review, and dispense medication orders following all protocols
  • Maintain precise patient medication profiles
  • Supervise and direct pharmacy technicians, verifying daily activities
  • Participate in medical emergency response as part of the pharmacy team
  • Conduct medication storage inspections and identify outdated medications
  • Orient and train new pharmacy team members
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active New Mexico Pharmacist License in good standing, or willingness to obtain prior to start (employment contingent on licensure)
  • Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive licenses required
  • At least one year of experience as a registered pharmacist preferred
  • APhA Pharmacy-Based Immunization Delivery Certification required or able to obtain within 30 days
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or able to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability and willingness to cover shifts at a secondary retail location, including occasional weekends
  • Ideal Candidate Attributes:
