An experienced retail pharmacy technician position is available for a 13-week contract with the potential to transition to a permanent role. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacy professionals with a background in specialty retail pharmacy and a commitment to compassionate patient care.

Location: Cleveland, OH
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: Contract to Hire, 13 weeks starting ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in dispensing medications accurately to a complex patient population managing multiple chronic conditions.
  • Communicate effectively and patiently with patients, many of whom are Medicare/Medicaid recipients with low literacy levels.
  • Utilize pharmacy software systems, preferably Rx30, to process prescriptions and manage patient information.
  • Support pharmacy staff in maintaining compliance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients taking 8-15 medications daily, requiring a thorough understanding of drug interactions and adherence.

    • Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings, ideally working with patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, multiple sclerosis, or rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Strong knowledge of the top 200-400 medications commonly dispensed in retail pharmacies.
  • High level of patience and strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse patient populations.
  • Familiarity with Rx30 pharmacy software is highly preferred.
  • Valid Ohio pharmacy technician license is required; PTCB certification is a plus but not mandatory.
