A well-established pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract position in Clearwater, FL. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with a start date as soon as possible or about 1.5 to 2 weeks after offer clearance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently processing and filling prescriptions while ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will manage insurance claims, assist with packing and shipping medications, and maintain inventory levels. Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process prescriptions and handle insurance adjudications, resolving rejections promptly.
  • Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
  • Perform data entry, manage prescription documentation, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers.
  • Maintain inventory through cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date checks.
  • Assist with returns, medication quarantines, and destruction processes in compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in cross-training across various pharmacy functions to support departmental needs.
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.
  • Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Active PTCB certification and Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a pharmacy technician; call center experience preferred.
  • Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills when interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
