Join an innovative specialty pharmacy focused on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as the foundational Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) spearheading the licensure and operational launch in Pennsylvania. This temp-to-hire opportunity places you at the center of building a state-of-the-art mail-order pharmacy from the ground up. Your expertise will directly influence the facility's readiness and ongoing compliance as it prepares to transition patient prescriptions from an established partner.

Location:

  • Lancaster, PA (499 Running Pump Rd, Unit 109)
  • Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the named PIC on the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy licensure application, leading the entire submission, inspection preparation, and approval process
  • Oversee the build-out phase to ensure compliance with physical regulations and infrastructure requirements
  • Author and implement all pharmacy SOPs, policies, and procedures prior to launching operations
  • Manage pharmacy activities post-launch, including dispensing, mail order fulfillment, and quality assurance
  • Lead DEA registration and maintain controlled substance compliance
  • Prepare and maintain audit readiness, serving as the primary regulatory contact
  • Hire, train, and manage pharmacy support personnel as the team grows toward full operations
  • Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree
  • Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania pharmacist license in good standing (no past disciplinary actions)
  • Minimum three years of pharmacist experience; prior PIC experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record with PA Board of Pharmacy licensure applications, pre-licensure startup activities, and board inspection readiness
  • Experience in specialty pharmacy and mail order fulfillment, ideally with hormone therapy medications such as estradiol, progesterone, testosterone, and sexual wellness treatments
  • Strong understanding of DEA compliance and controlled substance regulations
  • Ability and willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states as the pharmacy expands is a strong plus
  • Entrepreneurial mindset comfortable working in a pre-operational build-out environment
