This direct hire opportunity seeks an experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead a closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy in Lexington, KY. The ideal candidate will be a reliable and proactive leader, dedicated to maintaining high standards of compliance, operational excellence, and patient care. Attendance and punctuality are critical to success in this role, as reliable leadership is essential for the pharmacy’s continued growth and stability.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and clear Kentucky Pharmacist License
  • 2-4 years of LTC pharmacy experience preferred
  • Recent pharmacy management experience, ideally in LTC settings
  • Strong commitment to reliability and attendance
  • Ability to oversee pharmacy operations and staff effectively
  • Willingness to learn and work with Frameworks software system

  • Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage daily pharmacy functions including dispensing, counseling, and patient care
  • Maintain accurate records, including prescription orders and controlled substance logs
  • Develop and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality improvement plans
  • Provide leadership, training, and feedback to pharmacists and technicians
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance partners to resolve medication-related issues
  • Oversee medication inventory management to optimize stock levels and minimize waste
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and timely resolution
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and patient safety
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to infection control protocols
  • Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, Day Shift
  • Evening and weekend coverage only if necessary
