A leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations within a community setting. This role offers a contract position with options for contract to hire, providing flexibility for candidates considering various employment arrangements.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure regulatory compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, including conducting investigations into any improper activity.
  • Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and technicians, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to guarantee medication safety, accurate dispensing, and secure pharmacy operations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and proper storage protocols, with an emphasis on controlled substances.
  • Lead patient safety initiatives, including performance improvement programs, patient counseling, and quality assurance measures.
  • Qualifications:

  • Active and clear New Jersey pharmacist license.
  • Minimum of 2 years management experience with at least 3 years recent pharmacy practice, preferably in a community setting.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
  • Experience with Pioneer RX pharmacy software.
  • Ability to manage prescription volume of approximately 20-25 scripts per day.
  • Strong technical support skills and ability to resolve operational challenges efficiently.
