A remote opportunity is available for a pharmacist skilled in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) consulting, with a multi-state license portfolio. This 13-week contract focuses on telehealth MTM services, supporting a client’s expansion to as many as 30 to 40 states, with Louisiana as the central hub. Assignments begin in November and cycle through early next year with surges anticipated in April, May, and July. Candidates with multiple active pharmacist licenses—especially those covering at least five states from a specified list—will have enhanced opportunities for extended or full-time roles.

Location: Remote (with Louisiana as the hub for higher utilization)

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time telehealth MTM consulting
  • Onboarding surge periods: Nov – Feb, April, May, July
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual Comprehensive Medication Reviews (CMRs) and Targeted Medication Reviews (TMRs) via phone or video
  • Address medication side effects, answer therapy questions, and promote adherence
  • Evaluate utilization management tasks such as prior authorization and formulary exceptions following clinical guidelines
  • Collaborate with prescribers for alternative medication recommendations when needed
  • Perform proactive outreach identifying care gaps and working with patients and providers
  • Assist in formulary support by translating clinical rules for PBM claims systems
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, telepharmacy regulations, and client contracts, including thorough documentation
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Active, unrestricted pharmacist licenses in multiple states (minimum five preferred; Louisiana license highly advantageous)
  • Minimum 2 years clinical pharmacy experience, ideally in PBM, managed care, or clinical telehealth
  • Expertise in chronic disease management, drug utilization reviews, and formulary processes
  • Proficiency with telehealth software, electronic health records, and PBM claims platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for sensitive patient interactions and provider collaboration
