This contract opportunity offers an engaging role for a Staff Pharmacist specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) and Mail Order pharmacy services. Located in Incline Village, NV, this assignment spans 12 weeks with rotating shifts Monday through Friday, either from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm or 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, including every other Saturday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately while managing patient medication compliance and usage patterns.
  • Ensure prescriptions comply with legal requirements and suit patients’ needs.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential patient records alongside pharmacy documentation.
  • Provide comprehensive consultation to patients about medications, including dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Deliver additional patient services such as smoking cessation counseling, blood pressure, and cholesterol monitoring.
  • Educate patients on the correct use and maintenance of medical devices like glucose meters and blood pressure monitors.
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions in adherence to safety standards.
  • Supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, ensuring efficient and compliant operations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related issues.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree is mandatory.
  • Active Nevada Pharmacy license required.
  • Experience in Long Term Care pharmacy preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
  • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Shift options: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm OR 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm
  • Rotating every other Saturday
