A pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to work an 8-week contract primarily focused on long-term care prescriptions. This role requires a flexible schedule with core hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, as well as occasional shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Candidates should be available to start as soon as possible.

Location: Randolph, MA
Job Type: Contract (8 weeks, possible extension or conversion)
Schedule:

  • Primarily 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Some shifts 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately accept and dispense prescription medications
  • Monitor patient medication compliance and detect over-usage patterns
  • Maintain legal compliance in the supply and distribution of medicine
  • Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and answer related questions
  • Provide additional patient services such as smoking cessation and blood pressure monitoring
  • Educate patients on medical device handling (e.g., glucose meters)
  • Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions when necessary
  • Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
  • Manage pharmaceutical inventory effectively
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related problems
  • Maintain confidential and thorough patient records
  • Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist with valid MA pharmacy license
  • Experience in retail pharmacy is acceptable; training will be provided for long-term care responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
