Pharmacy Technician – Home Infusion & Pharmacy Operations
Location: Itasca, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (6-Month Assignment)
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Pharmacy Technician to join a growing pharmacy team in Itasca, Illinois. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers hands-on involvement in home infusion services and day-to-day pharmacy operations within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Position Overview
The Pharmacy Technician will assist in multiple areas of pharmacy operations, including home infusion support, prescription processing, inventory management, and warehouse-related activities. The ideal candidate is flexible, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily pharmacy functions across operational and clinical service areas
Assist with home infusion workflows and related pharmacy activities
Perform Pharmacy Related Services (PRS) duties as assigned
Prepare and process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
Monitor, organize, and maintain pharmacy inventory levels
Provide operational support within warehouse and distribution areas when needed
Work closely with pharmacists and team members to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with company and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
Current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification
At least two years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
Ability to adapt to various pharmacy functions and work environments
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork abilities
