Floating Retail Pharmacist Dubuque, IA
We're seeking a Floating Retail Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity based in Dubuque, Iowa. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who enjoys variety, values patient care, and is comfortable working across multiple community pharmacy locations.
The selected pharmacist will primarily support the Dubuque pharmacy while floating to nearby locations as needed.
Responsibilities
Accurately dispense prescription medications while ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Provide medication counseling and education to patients.
Respond professionally to patient questions, concerns, and medication-related inquiries.
Resolve prescription insurance and third-party billing issues.
Maintain controlled substance records, inventory, and pharmacy documentation.
Support daily pharmacy operations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Collaborate with pharmacy staff to maintain an efficient workflow across all locations.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Iowa Pharmacist License.
Minimum of 1 year of recent retail pharmacy experience.
Comfortable working in both high-volume and rural community pharmacy settings.
Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
Willingness to travel between designated pharmacy locations.
