Pharmacy Technicians are needed for a long-term, open-ended contract opportunity within a 24/7 correctional health pharmacy setting located in Los Angeles County. This role involves working primarily in the Twin Towers Jail Pharmacy, a secure and controlled environment within a large correctional facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process outpatient and correctional pharmacy prescriptions and medication orders
  • Assist pharmacists in daily pharmacy operations and maintain medication inventory
  • Perform data entry and handle medical billing tasks with attention to detail
  • Adhere to all security and procedural protocols required within the correctional facility environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare and security staff to ensure safe and effective medication management
  • Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid California Pharmacy Technician license
  • Minimum two years of retail or outpatient pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with medical billing processes
  • Ability to pass a competency test, complete required onboarding, security clearance forms, and Livescan fingerprinting within the onboarding timeframe
  • Local candidates preferred due to facility requirements
  • Schedule:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Available to work any 7.5-hour shift: day (6 am to 2 pm), evening (2 pm to 10 pm), or overnight (10 pm to 6 am)
  • Pharmacy operates continuously every day of the week
  • This role requires candidates to undergo monthly interviews and provide security clearance documentation several weeks in advance of the interview date. Candidates selected will tour the facility to understand the secure working environment.
