About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Oncology Pharmacist / Chemo Pharmacist to join our oncology pharmacy team. This position will focus on providing expert pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, ensuring optimal medication management throughout their cancer treatment journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct pharmacy services to oncology patients, including chemotherapy preparation, medication therapy management, and patient counseling.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology care teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of chemotherapy agents, including managing dosing regimens and monitoring for adverse effects.
  • Educate patients and staff on chemotherapy medications, drug interactions, and side effects.
  • Participate in clinical rounds and contribute to decision-making processes regarding drug therapy for oncology patients.
  • Monitor and assess patient responses to chemotherapy, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, regulatory standards, and best practices in oncology pharmacy.

    Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Completion of an oncology pharmacy residency (PGY-2) or Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP).
  • Open to: Candidates with approximately 1-2 years of current inpatient pharmacy experience, particularly in chemotherapy or oncology settings.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of oncology medications and chemotherapy regimens is essential.
  • Experience in an inpatient or outpatient oncology setting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
